So muss Tele sein! Der Archetyp einer Solidbody E-Gitarre! Du nimmst sie in die Hand und das erste was dir auffällt ist die Leichtigkeit mit der Du sie anhebst. 2551g, ein absolutes Federgewicht! Der Korpus besteht aus ultra leichtem und resonantem Kerzennussholz, ein absoluter Geheimtipp im Gitarrenbau. Schon trocken angespielt fällt die schnelle Ansprache auf, die Freude mit der diese Gitarre resonieren will. Dann der Hals, Irgendwie fett, aber durch das weiche V Hals Profil, welches sich allmählich zum volleren C wandelt auch schlank. Man mag die Gitarre einfach nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Die Halskante und Bundenden schön abgerundet, anschmiegsam sodass der Daumen, ganz von alleine, über die Griffbrettkante gleitet. Ohne störenden Lack auf der Rückseite. Die Brocaster spielt sich weich wie Butter, schon fast von allein. Am Amp lässt sie nichts zu wünschen übrig, die handgewickelten Wild Relics Brocaster Pickups von David Barfuss sind klar und offen. So muss eine T-Type Gitarre einfach klingen. Süß und saftig am Hals, zupackend und schmatzend an der Stegposition. Twang und Durchsetzungskraft ohne schrill oder sägend zu klingen. Wer jetzt meint, das war es auch schon mit den Klängen, die sich ihr entlocken lassen, der täuscht sich aber gewaltig. Die vierte Position des Vier-Wege Schalters schaltet beide Pickups in Serie und bietet einen Punch, den man von einer Tele so nicht erwartet. Die umgedrehte Contolplate und der Ausschnitt an der unteren Kante der Joe Barden Bridge bietet schnellen und komfortablen Zugang zum Volume-Poti. Durch das auf die Gitarre abgestimmte Treble Bleed, lassen sich Lautstärke und Zerrgrad wunderbar regeln, ohne dass Höhen oder Bässe verloren gehen. Einfach am Amp einen schönen Crunch-Sound einstellen und dann für Clean-Sounds einfach am Volumepoti zurück regeln, ohne Abstriche in Sachen Brillanz, Wärme und Biss machen zu müssen. Wer braucht da noch sperrige Pedalboards? Den Puristen gefällt das auf jeden Fall! Einfach rein in den Amp und losrocken! Optisch ist diese Gitarre ein echter Hingucker!
Subtil soll halt jemand anders machen, hier geht’s ,,wild‘‘ zur Sache. Heavily Aged Butterscotch Blonde. Cracks, Dings und Dongs und freigelegtes Holz, wo man hinschaut. Das Teil sieht aus und fühlt sich an, als wäre es in den letzten 70 Jahren Non-Stop gespielt worden und hätte niemals das Innere eines schützenden Koffers gesehen. Hier passt einfach Alles zusammen. Kein Zentimeter an dieser Gitarre sieht neu aus, vom Nitrolack bis zur Nickel Hardware. Die Joe Barden Bridge mit kompensierten Messingreitern lässt in puncto Intonation keine Wünsche offen. This is how a Blackguard should be! The archetype of a solid body electric guitar! You pick it up and the first thing you notice is the ease when when you do. 2551g, an absolute featherweight! The body is made of ultra light and resonant candle nut, an absolute insider tip in guitar building. Even when played dry, you notice the quick response and the joy this guitar wants to resonate. Then the neck, somehow fat, but also slim thanks to the soft V neck profile, which gradually turns into a fuller C. You just don’t want to put the guitar down. The edge oft he fretboard and fret ends are nicely rounded and so the thumb gently glides over the edge of the fingerboard all by itself. Without annoying finish on the back. The Brocaster plays as smooth as butter, almost on its own. Plugged into an amp there is nothing left to be desired. The hand-wound Wild Relics Brocaster pickups from David Barfuss are clear and open. This is simply how a T-Type guitar should sound like. Sweet and juicy on the neck, biting and smacking at the bridge position. Twang and punch without sounding shrill or sawy. But we`re not done just yet. The fourth position of the switch switches both pickups in series and offers a punch that you don’t expect from a Tele. The inverted control plate and cutout on the bottom edge of the Joe Barden Bridge provides quick and convenient access to the volume pot. Thanks to the treble bleed, the volume and distortion level can be wonderfully adjusted without losing any treble or bass. Simply set a nice crunchy sound on your amp and then simply adjust the volume pot for clean sounds without having to compromise on brilliance, warmth and bite. Who needs bulky pedalboards anyway? The purists will definitely like this one! Just plug it into an amp and start rocking!
Someone else should do subtle things, this is where things get “wild”. This guitar is a real eye-catcher! Heavily Aged Butterscotch Blonde. Cracks, dings and dongs and exposed wood everywhere you look. The guitar looks and feels like it has been played non-stop for the last 70 years and has never seen the inside of a protective case. Everything just fits together. Not an inch of this guitar looks new, from the nitro finish to the nickel hardware.
